Pressing Instructions

How to press DTF transfers

  • Set heat press to 285 degrees (Fahrenheit)
  • Heavy pressure (extra pressure can be obtained with pressing pillow)
  • Pre-press shirt for 5-10 seconds. Let ShirtCool.
  • Place transfer in desired placement. Press for 10-12 seconds at 285 degrees
  • Hot peel. Hold garment and peel top sheet in the opposite direction.  If lifting starts to occur, wait a few seconds to cool down and lift from another corner, holding shirt and peeling in the opposite direction.
  • Repress with parchment paper for 10-12 seconds at 285 (Personally, I like repressing the transfer with a spare blank shirt. I feel it gives a better end result)
  • Our transfers are hot or cold peel. If you wish to let cool down before peeling you may do so. It really is just personal preference.
  • Video of pressing can be found in the FB Group page pinned to the featured section.
All heat presses are not created equal, so you may need to adjust the time/temp for your heat press. The hotter these are pressed the more plastic they will feel.
